Coop II the wrath of coop
New coop project is finally of the ground. Had the neighbor from San Diego up to do the foundation and brick work. (Yes he’s a neighbor and yes he lives in San Diego… <(^.^)> )

Oh, man! How’d they get that big bugger outta there in the end? It looks kinda like your lawn is trying to eat the truck. :)
That coop is going to be *sweet*! It’s like a chicken mansion, I mean, that’s a lot of square footage for what one pictures when you say they word ‘coop’. Swanky.

the front 8×16 part is storage for bedding, food, and sick chickens (if needed). The rest is about 4 times the size of the current coop. I just hope they stop eating each others feathers once we put them in there.
Also, we’re hoping to do waterproof walls to go with the concrete floor so that we can hose the whole thing out from time to time.

Awesome. Hosing out-ability is a huge plus in my book. I can’t wait to see the finished product, especially in person, eventually. :) Man, I do miss those flavorful eggs. The grocery store really only has bland options, even free-range grain-fed!

Checking the farmers market is an eggcellent idea!
(My favorite 1960s batman episodes were the ones where Vincent Price played EggHead :) )
