Dell:
yay: tivo 80M for $30
nay: to get the rebate to get it that low it has to be activated (was gonna hack at it, or give it away, or…)
yay: shipped quickly
nay: shipped so quickly there was no time to cancel order
yay: said they would make sure they intervened so it wouldn’t get here
nay: it did, and while I wasn’t here to reject it
nay: they refused to send UPS to pick it up but told me I had to go to the UPS store 17 miles away
nay: when I got to the UPS store they said it wasn’t in their system (Dell said to wait 24-36 REAL hours, specifically asked if it was business hours and they said no)
nay: Had to PAY to send it
yay: (UPS Store) guy gave me a 10% discount
yay: Dell, without argument, agreed to send me a check for full amount it cost me to mail it.

Troyer Farms:
yay: yummy potato chips
nay: seems they shipped at least 2 bags with only half their advertised weight
yay: responded to email within a day or two, just asked for a number off the bag and amount paid (no receipts or anything)
yay: VERY quickly sent CASH refund!!!!

Troyer Farms rocks! Dell…sorta. Not so much. Sometimes. Last call good.

In case the annoying frog wasn’t enough for you Wolfram (mathematica) wants to get into the ringtones game. I have to admit to downloading one once, and only once. It seems silly to me to pay more to download a song with less bps, and only part of it at that :). It would be kinda cool too hear what they sound like though. (email me!)
i listened to a demo one, was neat
